It's easy to take part in making the 2018 Spirit Auction a success by procuring or donating items. All items from $10 to $10,000+ help us raise over $400,000 for Westside School's program and the education of our students.

What should you procure?

For the Balloon Pop – Gift cards of $25+, local experiences, hotel stays

For Raffles – Big ticket items like a weekend vacation, $1,000 gift card, private dinner etc…

For the Live Auction – Big ticket items that could raise $2,500 or more. Past items have included a Hawaiian vacation, a cruise through Indonesia, a signed guitar, Seahawks tickets and more.

Buy-in Parties – Host a wine night or a family BBQ for 10. Rent a movie theater for a special screening or host a pub crawl. The options are endless. Buy-in parties should be for groups of 6 or more and can include children or be adult only.

Procurement Tips!

Ask family and friends: Do you know someone with Seahawks/Mariners/Sounders/Storm tickets? Do you know someone who owns a business? Someone who has specialized skills or services? Ask them if they will consider donating - everyone has something to give!

Local Businesses: Donations to auctions are an effective marketing tool for many businesses, and most are familiar with the process, even having a standard donation item. If you are a business owner, you may want to ask for a donation from the major suppliers to your business.

Those you have supported: In an age of such wide-spread fundraising, undoubtedly, you have donated to a neighbor’s walk-a-thon, a friend’s bake sale, or your niece’s school raffle. Now is the time to ask them to return the favor.

Email your Address Book: Personal or telephone requests are the most effective, but email can work great too. 

Here are some ideas to get you started and help focus our efforts as we begin our mission to bring in quality items to make this event a success. Be creative, use your imagination, think outside the box, work your connections and have fun!!
