FAQ
What is the 2018 Spirit Auction?
This community event and fundraiser is a chance for families to get together for some fun while raising important funds for the school. The evening will feature a cocktail hour with raffles and games, as well as a sit-down dinner with performances, a 3-course meal and a live auction. This year’s event will be celebrating Local Brilliance and will feature local food, wine, art and more.
What is the goal for the evening?
The goal of the evening is twofold. We raise money for the school AND build community. The Westside School community is strengthened when working together towards a common goal, building a better school for our kids. Our families play the starring role in making the Auction a success. Our goal for the 2018 Spirit auction is to raise $400,000 including funds for our Tuition Assistance Program and this year’s Fund-a-Wish, a brand-new turf field.
I would like to attend but cannot afford the ticket price. Are there other options?
Yes! The entire community is welcome to attend. Discounted tickets are available for families on Tuition Assistance.
What do I wear?
Dress for a fun night with friends! The auction is not a black-tie event but cocktail attire is suggested.
What volunteer jobs need to be filled?
We always need LOTS of volunteers to make this event a fun and successful evening. Click here to sign-up and find out what roles are available.
What is this year’s Fund-a-Wish?
Each year, the auction features two raise the paddles. The first is for Tuition Assistance and the second is for a special need each year. In 2016, we raised funds for three brand new buses. In 2017, we raised funds for a Teacher Excellence Fund. In 2018, we are excited to be raising funds for a brand-new turf field. We hope you consider raising your paddle for this exciting project, which will create a fun and safe outdoor space for our students.
