Weird and Wacky Weaving
Day and Time: Thursday, 3:25-4:30pm

Who doesn't love trying something new? Weaving takes on a new twist In this class, using familiar materials in unexpected combinations to explore, invent, and share techniques. Students will work on both individual and group projects, using measurement, geometry, matching, color theory, sewing, weaving, patience, and teamwork. Materials: wooden dowels, fabric, yarn, containers, found objects, embellishments, and basic sewing implements.
Yoga
Grades: Kindergarten through Fifth Grade
Day and Time: Monday, 3:20-4:30pm

Yoga can be a fun exercise for kids! Cynthia Voth & Joanna Bond return to help kids get in touch with their bodies, strengthen and relax their muscles, and develop coordination, focus and confidence. Each class will include sharing, breathing/centering (pranayama), postures (asana), games that incorporate the postures, and a closing relaxation. Be sure to wear comfortable clothing and bring a yoga mat.

Ropeworks

The Ropeworks after-school jump rope program incorporates a unique approach to teaching rope jumping through a “smart sequencing” method of skill development combined with a special focus on character education. Using the rope as a working metaphor for goal setting, doing your best and avoiding comparisons with others means that the lessons convey positive messages. Director Rene Bibaud, world rope jumping champion, artist and coach of Cirque Du Soleil and creator of Ropeworks designs the curriculum. Classes are taught by Ropeworks certified staff.
Space Explorers Science Adventures
