Ropeworks incorporates a unique approach to learning rope jumping through a “smart sequencing” method of skill development, combined with a special focus on character education. Using the rope as a working metaphor for goal setting, best efforts and avoiding comparisons with others, Ropeworks uses the rope as a lesson to convey positive messages.
Director Rene Bibaud, world rope jumping champion, artist and coach of Cirque Du Soleil and creator of Ropeworks designs the curriculum; classes are taught by Ropeworks certified staff.
Chess Club, Grades 1-5

Learn to play chess, or practice what you already know! Chess can strengthen problem solving skills, teach children to make difficult and abstract decisions and enhance math abilities like memory and critical thinking skills. The ever popular Elston Cloy (and former Washington State Youth Champion) returns to guide the chess class.
Science Adventures, featuring Science Bloopers for Grades 1-5

What happens when an experiment goes completely wrong? Great science, that's what! Take a look at some of the great science blunders, and how, with a little imagination, they were turned into amazing discoveries. From electric circuits to the hunt for dinosaur bones, some of the best science happens when you least expect it.
Beginning Karate, Grades 1-5

Students are challenged with variety of activities, designed to develop coordination, balance, and strength. Students will have fun, and learn the basics of kicking, self defense, blocking, and punching; orderly behavior, listening, and focus is emphasized. Contact fighting is not allowed at this level; training in is done in daily clothes.
Jewelry Making, Grades 1-5
Days and Time: Thursdays, 3:25-4:30pm

Room: The Art Room
Charms, beads, wire and unexpected materials will be used to make stand-out jewelry. Curiosity and patience will be rewarded as kids' ideas become wearable treasures. Math, experimentation and visual acuity were never more fun that this!
