Welcome to Westside School’s Extended Day and Enrichment Program.

Here at Westside, our philosophy of joyful learning, as well as our commitment to a fun and healthy community, goes beyond normal school hours. We offer a range of excellent after school programs so Westside students may continue to learn and play after the 3:15 bell.

After School Enrichments 2014-2015

Our Extended Day Program is run and supervised by Westside School’s staff of Instructional Assistants.  After school, kids are signed in and given a healthy snack before heading off to a diverse range of activities. Kids will be able to choose between active, calm, and quiet activities which will all be available at different stations. Instructional Assistants provide direction, support, and instruction as kids build and create in project based activities, participate in games and sports, or work on homework assignments. Extended Day gives kids the opportunity to continue learning, playing, and spending time with their peers and Instructors in a comfortable, safe and fun environment.

Our Enrichment Program offers a collection of classes and workshops offered by independent vendors and hosted by Westside School. We select our programs based on compatibility with our mission of joyful learning, and our belief that playing and community are essential to education. Programs focus on critical thinking, project based learning, physical activity, and community building. Most enrichment classes begin at 4:00 p.m. Kids signed up for enrichment classes will be signed in and fed snack by our Extended Day staff, and then participate in Extended Day activities until Enrichment Programs begin. These services are covered by enrichment fees.
