FACULTY AND STAFF HOLIDAY GIFTS 

Dear Families, 

The holidays are upon us and our teachers have been getting questions from families about what they might like as a holiday appreciation gift. As you know, inclusion and equity are essential values to our school and community. While we value your thoughtfulness, we want to share (or remind) about Westside’s end-of-year gift process, which was designed in partnership with school leadership and families a few years ago.

In lieu of individual family gifts, the WFA typically collects funds from families towards holiday gifting, splitting the pool evenly in the form of cash or gift cards for staff and teachers. This process ensures that our less visible, but still very important staff members working behind the scenes receive your gratitude. Please donate what you can toward this important fund!

Each cash gift will be accompanied by a handwritten thank you note signed by the WFA on behalf of all families to teachers and staff. We are soliciting volunteers to help us with these 75 handwritten thank you cards.
